Who are we?
The City of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Racial
Equality Council is here to:
Work towards eliminating racial discrimination
Campaign for equality and opportunity
Promote good relations between persons of different
racial groups
As well as working locally, we are part of a
network of REC's which is linked regionally
and nationally to the Commission for Racial
Equality (CRE).
Notts REC works in partnership with the CRE
and is sponsored by Nottingham City Council
and Nottinghamshire County Council.
The Racial Equality Council is made up of a
wide cross-section of local organisations which
elect and Executive Committee. This directs
and guides us.
